KUDOS TO DOSK

It's been more then a week or longer since I last blogged.

Medical complications prevented me from writing but passion Valls for the truth to be told no matter to what level intimidation is taken.

I must start this post by congratulating and give my due respect to Dato Ow Soon Kooi as Coaching Chairman for standing firm on the choice of coaches as decided by his Committee.

His firm and decisive stand should be emulated by others for the betterment of the sport in the country.

I have my differences with DOSK nut always respect his views as he was a former national skipper and has one great thing flowing in his veins - true blood of a person passionate about the sport.

We always agree to disagree and although I cannot at times comprehend his logic, I blog to tell the truth whole Ow feels my ways are damaging although he understands inside him why there is such anger.

Going back to the issue, before any construe this as Apple polishing, I have been informed both before and after theExecutive Board meeting about the manoeuvring of an individual to manipulate the list of coaches as revealed by this blog.

But Ow stood firmly behind his committee and left it to theEB to make changes they deemed fit.

It was fortunate that most members of the EB stood by the decision of Ow and endorsed the list.

We all may have misgivings on some of the names listed but giving a person a second chance is what humanity is all about.

It is after all the season of forgiving and moving forward and this is something I have always preached.

Yes I did call forOw to resign if action was not taken over the absence of a player from the national team.

It ended with Ow severing all ties with me but I stand by what I wrote as I stand by Ow today on his ability to be a respectable chairman who stands by his members.

My only regret being others in MHC do not look at things from a wider perspective as they often want to stay safe by playing the political game.

A piece of advice - who would u rather listen too, one who played in two Olympics or a person who only carried stick cases of others during a playing tour of India.

Only time will tell.
