History beckons for Japan and Bangladesh as they play the quarterfinals of the Junior Adia Cup in Kuantan.
For a win for either team will give them a place in the Junior Word Cup, something both nations have yet to achieve.
This will no doubt bossy hockey in their country and it will be good for Asian hockey.
But in the process, a big name , be it Korea or Malaysia will have to miss the cut.
For Kirea it will be a devastating blow as their senior side also failed to make the Rio Olympics.
And if Malaysia loses to Korea, it will mean that we will miss the JWC for the first time since 1997.
For the record Malaysia failed to make the cut in 1996 in Singapore for the Milton Keynes JWC. The team then was coached by Stephen van Huizen.
Let's see what history is created and repeated.
