It is the nations premier Hockey tournament.
And one would have expected high standards since there has been much talk about how things are done better now in Hockey compared to the past years.
But that was not to be the case as at the Tun Razak Stadium, the home venue of the fancied Sapura, the basic fundamental was missing - there was no scoreboard.
Which leaves question marks as to who and why that pitch was allowed or approved in the first place.
Ironically the stadium is also where the National body operates from and not having checked the facility in their own back yard is something to be concerned about.
Though the CEO Logan Raj was responsible enough to take the blame for the oversight, this is one area where those responsible have failed him and the sport,
The two individuals that should be hauled up are the Competitions a Manager and the Tournament Director.
Yes the Tournament Director is supposedly my elder Brother but I do not care as the reality is he did not do his job.
Stadiums need to be inspected prior to the tournament and these two individuals should be held accountable for their shoddy work.
Logan has ensured that things will be rectified before the next match at Tun Razak.
But this blog feels that these two officials should be reprimanded as teams are for failing in their duty.
